背景 Background:
香港將要踏入 Web 3.0 時代，傳媒及資訊科技正全方位包圍我們的生活，而我們的社會正由工商業社會轉型至知識社會，年輕人必須培養好配合時代需求的素養和能力，才能在未來社會揮灑自如地工作和生活。
「傳媒資訊素養」被認為是新一代必備的廿一世紀本領之一，它融合了傳媒素養和資訊素養，再加上電腦與資訊科技的技能，組合成一個新的概念，代表在未來社會大家很需要的一組生存技能。
Hong Kong is about to embark on the era of Web 3.0 and our lives are going to be embedded by media and information technology. Alongside the transformation from an industrial and commercial society to a knowledge-based society, our younger generations have to develop the required abilities and literacy to cope with the need of the future world so that they can work and live at ease.
Media Information Literacy (MIL), being a new conception, is recognized as one of the capabilities of the 21st century. By integrating media literacy, information literacy and Information & Computer Technology (ICT) skills, MIL forms a new conception of knowledge and becomes the life skill for survival in our future society.


活動目標 Objectives:
我們希望透過舉辦這次研討會：
Through organising this seminar, we hope:
1. 喚起教育界及家長關注「傳媒資訊素養」與新 e-世代的關係；及
   to arouse concerns from the education arena and parents on the relationship between " Media Information Literacy" and the emerge of the new electronic era ; and
2. 讓教師和家長了解如何協助新一代掌握「傳媒資訊素養」，以更好地適應未來知識社會的學習和工作需要。
   to let teachers and parents understand how they may help their next generations better grasp "Media Information Literacy" for development of the required abilities and literacy to cope with the needs of our knowledge-based society.
