電影是當代的第八藝術，是繪畫、雕塑、建築、音樂、文學、舞蹈、戲劇七種藝術的總和，也是社會以至人類議題的縮影。

甄選對電影及人文學科感興趣並表現優異的學生：

喜愛參與藝術/電影/戲劇/文學/文化相關活動
對人文學科、語文科、文學科、常識科、通識科或視覺藝術等科目感興趣或表現優異
對社會事件/議題具敏銳觸覺和判斷力，能洞悉當中的道德和倫理問題，對相關因果理論感興趣，或能提出獨到的見解
曾經參與在本港或國際性與藝術/電影/戲劇/文學/文化有關的比賽，展現相當潛質或獲得優異的成績

"香港行車易"手機應用程式

「香港行車易」應用程式提供點到點駕駛路線搜尋服務和實時交通資訊，以便預先計劃行程。
Hong Kong eRouting provides point-to-point driving route searching service and real-time traffic information for pre-trip planning.

內容包括 Features include:

1. 點到點駕駛路線搜尋；
   point-to-point driving-route searching;

2. 提供多種輸入方式：包括地圖、文字、分類地點、當前位置和書籤；
   provide multiple input methods: map-based, text, categorized locations, current location and bookmark;

3. 路線可選擇最短時間、最短行程或最低道路收費(以私家車收費作比較)；
   selectable route choice preference, which includes the shortest travel time, shortest travel distance or lowest toll (using private car fares for comparison);

4. 搜尋結果以地圖顯示路線，並包括詳細路線資料、預計行車時間、距離和道路收費，以及提供沿途交通快拍、特別交通運輸措施和特別交通消息；
   search results are displayed on map, with detailed route information and estimated travel time, distance, road toll; real time traffic information, including CCTV snapshots, special traffic/transport arrangement and special traffic news along the route are also provided;

5. 提供全面實時交通資訊，包括交通快拍、在行車速度屏上顯示的行車狀況及時間、過海隧道時間和行車速度圖；
   provide comprehensive real-time traffic information such as CCTV snapshots, information displayed on speed map panels, cross-harbour journey times and traffic speed map;

運輸署正式推出「香港行車易」手機應用程式
運輸署今日（二○一三年三月二十六日）宣布，免費手機應用程式「香港行車易」已正式推出。
市民除可隨時隨地使用點到點的駕駛路線搜尋服務外，更可以接收實時交通資訊，為行程作出更周詳的計劃。
「香港行車易」的 iPad 和 Android Tablet 版本預計在二○一三年年中推出。

"Hong Kong eRouting" mobile application launched
The Transport Department (TD) announced today (March 26) that the free smartphone application "Hong Kong eRouting" has been launched.
The public may now make use of the application for point-to-point driving route service as well as obtaining real-time traffic information for well-founded pre-trip planning anytime and anywhere.
The iPad and Android tablet versions of the service are planned for launching in mid-2013.

Flag days in 2013-14

二○一三至一四年度賣旗日

社會福利署（社署）就二○一三至一四年度賣旗日共接獲二百一十九份申請，並批准了一百一十七間慈善機構在二○一三至一四年度的五十一個星期六及八個為學校或公眾假期的星期三舉行賣旗籌款。
賣旗時間為賣旗日的上午七時至下午十二時三十分。
A total of 117 organisations out of 219 applications received have been approved to hold flag days to raise funds for their charitable projects on 51 Saturdays and eight Wednesdays which fall on school or public holidays in 2013-14.
Flag sales will be conducted from 7am to 12.30pm on the approved flag days.

In order to allow more organisations to conduct flag sales, 29 flag days had been assigned as Regional Flag Days in 2013-14. On each Regional Flag Day, three organisations will sell flags to solicit donations concurrently, one each on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon and in the New Territories.

Democracy in Hong Kong

Increasingly Hong Konger's are beginning to resent the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) and there failure to bestow democracy on Hong Kong. Many also would like to see a British Democratic rule restored in the region. Britain can help by entering discussions for the PRC to either ceed back the territory to Britain where we can establish a devolved government or for it to become independent all together.
We owe this to our loyal Hong Konger's.

STUDENT CONFERENCE 2013 - GIFTEDNESS AND CREATIVITY

為響應世界資優兒童協會 (WCGTC) 將今年定為國際資優與創意年，香港資優教育學苑將於2013年11月23日（星期六）舉行首屆學生會議。
In support of the International Year of Giftedness and Creativity advocated by the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC), the HKAGE will hold our signature event, the first HKAGE Student Conference on 23 November 2013 (Saturday).

本會議歡迎全港中學生參加。會議旨在：
All secondary school students are welcome to attend the conference to:

透過學生所進行的研究計劃，展示他們於不同領域的學習成果；
showcase their study projects to demonstrate their learning achievements in various fields;

Estimates for 2013/14 Application for Grants : Aided Secondary Schools

2013/14年度財政預算資助中學申請津貼安排

各資助中學校監，如擬就開班及聘請教學人員申請經常及非經常津貼，請在2013年4月8日或之前，將夾附於本通函的表格填妥並寄回所屬的高級學校發展主任，以便本局將有關開支列入2013/14學年的財政預算。
Supervisors of aided secondary schools who wish to apply for recurrent and non-recurrent grants for operating classes and appointment of teaching staff for inclusion in the estimates for the 2013/14 school year should complete and return the enclosed Form to the respective Senior School Development Officers on or before 8 April 2013.

注意事項 Notes:

在2013/14學年，資助中學的教師與班級比例如下：
In the 2013/14 school year, the teacher-to-class ratios for aided secondary schools are:

(a) 初中(即中一至中三)每班有1.7名教師
    1.7 teachers per junior secondary class (i.e. S1 – S3)

(b) 高中(即中四至中六)每班有2.0名教師
    2.0 teachers per senior secondary class (i.e. S4 – S6)

資助中學新學制下的教職員人手編制常見的問題與答案

1. 問: 學校應否把根據教師與班級比例計算得到的教學人員數目，上捨入至下一個整數？
2. 問: 由2009/10學年起，以往的分組授課額外教師、學校圖書館主任、額外的中文教師、負責輔導教學、學生輔導及課外活動的額外教師和根據《教育統籌委員會第五號報告書》建議的額外非學位教師，已不再另行提供，這是否表示不鼓勵學校繼續調配教師擔任有關職務？
3. 問: 計算為支援學業成績稍遜學生而提供的額外教師的方法與以往有何不同？
4. 問: 若按教師與班級比例計算得來的教學人員數目，和為支援學業成績稍遜學生而增聘的教師職位數目，均有小數位部分，那麼這些小數位應如何處理？

Staff Establishment of Aided Secondary Schools under New Academic Structure Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

1. Q. Should schools round up the result of teaching staff entitlement calculated from the T/C ratios to the next whole number?
2. Q. From the 2009/10 school year, additional teachers for split-class teaching, school librarian, additional Chinese language teachers, additional teachers for remedial teaching, counseling and extra-curricular activities and additional non-graduate teachers under ECR5 are not provided separately. Does it mean that schools are not encouraged to deploy teachers for the relevant duties?
3. Q. Is there any change in the calculation of additional teachers to support Academic Low Achievers (ALA)?
4. Q. If both the teaching staff entitlement calculated from the T/C ratios and the provision of additional teachers to support ALA contain fractional parts, how will they be treated?
5. Q. Concerning cases no. 2 and 3 in the answer to Question 4 above, can schools opt for FPCG to encash the whole number entitlement?
6. Q. Can schools opt for FPCG for a portion of the fractional post and retain the remaining part as fractional GM post at the same time?

Information on Teaching Vacancies in Aided Primary Schools for 2013/14 School Year

由二零一三年四月十號起，超額教師可瀏覽下列的空缺資料作為尋求教職之用。
教育局會就學校不時呈交的最新空缺資料作出更新。
根據教育局於二零一三年三月二十二日發出的通函第26/2013號，在適當的情況下，學校應優先考慮聘請超額教師填補在二零一三/一四學年出現的教職空缺。
With effect from 10 April 2013, the following vacancy information is provided for reference of redundant teachers of aided primary schools this year to facilitate their seeking of teaching posts.
The vacancy information will be updated on the basis of schools’ returns. [ Chinese Version Only ]
According to Education Bureau Circular Memorandum No. 26/2013 issued on 22 March 2013, where appropriate, aided primary schools should give priority consideration to redundant teachers of aided primary schools in filling vacant teaching posts for the 2013/14 school year.

To facilitate application of redundant teachers for teaching posts, redundant teachers may complete the "Personal Particulars of Teacher in Aided Primary Schools" and fax/mail to the schools concerned direct.

郊野公園遠足植樹日2013  Country Parks Hiking and Planting Day 2013

為了推廣保護大自然及愛護樹木的訊息，漁農自然護理署與郊野公園之友會，於今年四月及五月，聯合舉辦郊野公園遠足植樹日活動。
In order to promote public awareness on nature conservation and tree preservation, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and the Friends of the Country Parks will jointly hold the Country Parks Hiking and Planting Day in April and May 2013.

報名方法 Enrollment
於活動報名地點即場報名，額滿即止。
Register at the registration point on the event day. Registration will stop once quota is met.

工具及樹苗 Tools and Seedlings
植樹工具及樹苗由漁護署免費提供，由於植樹場地有限，每人最多限派兩棵樹苗。
Planting tools and seedlings will be provided by AFCD, due to limited planting space, each participant can get no more than two seedlings.

Education Bureau Circular Memorandum No. 32/2013 Enhanced Support Services for Students with Specific Learning Difficulties in Reading and Writing

為有讀寫困難的學生提供加強支援服務

分層支援是現時獲廣泛認同為最有效支援有讀寫困難學生的模式。
教師為所有學生提供第一層優化課堂教學，並通過持續評估學生對教學的反應，為那些在學習上有較大困難的學生安排第二層支援（即額外小組輔導），或提供更密集的第三層支援（即個別化輔導）。
The tiered intervention model is widely recognized at present as the most effective approach to support students with specific learning difficulties in reading and writing (SpLD).
Under this model, teachers are to provide quality-first Tier 1 teaching to all students, and then through continuous monitoring of the students’ response to intervention, provide students with greater learning difficulties with Tier 2 support in the form of small group supplemental teaching or more intensive Tier 3 individualized support.

為承接「喜閱寫意：賽馬會讀寫支援計劃」，促進「小學中文分層支援教學模式」持續發展，教育局於2011/12學年開始，展開一項為期五年的計劃，每年支援約40所新加入的小學推行「小學中文分層支援教學模式」。
參與學校在推行分層支援教學模式的三年期間，會獲得教育局專業人員的支援。
專業支援的形式包括與教師進行籌備會議、參與校本課程備課會議、舉行檢討會議及定期舉辦教師培訓工作坊，協助教師把《悅讀‧悅寫意》教材與校本的中文課程結合，以達到優化校本初小中文課程的目的。
計劃並會透過進展性評估和總結性評估檢視學生的學習進度，於學期結束前，識別有需要接受額外小組輔導或個別化輔導的學生。
在參與計劃的第二及第三年，學校與本局支援人員的會議次數會因應學校的需要而調節。
Building on the “READ & WRITE” project and to sustain the development of the Model in primary schools, the Education Bureau (EDB) has launched a 5-year project since the 2011/12 school year. About 40 new primary schools are invited every year to implement the Model.
The EDB professional staff render support to the participating schools implementing the Model in a 3-year cycle.
The professional support comprises participation in the preparatory meetings, school-based collaborative lesson planning meetings and review meetings with the school personnel, and conducting regular professional development workshops for the teachers. The ultimate goal is to support teachers to integrate the resources developed for the Model with the school-based Chinese Language curriculum, with a view to optimizing the Chinese Language curriculum for junior primary students.
The progress of the students in the Project will be monitored through formative and summative assessments. The students in need of supplemental small group or individualized support will be identified at the end of the school year.
The frequency of meetings between the school personnel and EDB professional staff will be adjusted in the second and third years based on the needs of the schools.

The Commissioner for Heritage's Office of the Development Bureau (CHO) will hold two open days at King Yin Lei, a declared monument, at the weekend on April 20 and 21, 2013 for free admission by the public.

Smart card application invited for public swimming pool monthly ticket holders
The smart card scheme is a further step to bring convenience to swimmers using the monthly tickets.
The smart card is printed with the card holder's portrait and preloaded with information on the validity period. Monthly ticket smart card holders will only need to show their smart cards and no longer need to produce documentary proof of identity when entering the swimming pool, thus making admission more convenient and easy.

點滴是生命於1998年3月27日根據香港特別行政區慈善機構牌照規例成立，是註冊慈善團體。稅局檔號：91/5246

2013 Military Summer Camp for Hong Kong Youth

2013「香港青少年軍事夏令營」

「香港青少年軍事夏令營」由羣力資源中心、中國人民解放軍駐香港部隊及香港特別行政區政府教育局聯合主辦，目的是透過紀律訓練和專題講座培養學生的品德、領袖才能，以及刻苦、自律、守紀和團結的精神。
夏令營於2013年7月14日至28日(為期15天)在駐香港部隊粉嶺新圍軍營舉行，讓學生有機會體驗駐香港部隊的生活，學習基本的軍事知識及加深對國防的認識。
完成15天夏令營訓練的學生將獲頒發結業證書。
The “Military Summer Camp for Hong Kong Youth” is jointly organised by the Concerted Efforts Resource Centre, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong and the Education Bureau of HKSARG. It aims to provide discipline training and thematic talks so as to develop morality and leadership potential among students, and to foster their endurance, self-discipline, compliance and spirit of unity.
The summer camp to be held in Gallipoli Lines (Fanling Barracks) from 14 to 28 July 2013 (lasting for 15 days) provides the opportunity for students to experience the daily life of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong, to acquire basic military knowledge and skills, and to enhance their knowledge on national defence.
On successful completion of the 15-day training camp, each student will be awarded a certificate.

本夏令營現正接受申請，請各中學校長提名不多於三名男學生及不多於三名女學生參加。獲提名的學生必須為現就讀中三、中四或中五而在2013年7月14日前年滿15歲、品行優良、體能良好、具備普通話溝通能力，以及未曾參加過「香港青少年軍事夏令營」。
由於資源及設施的限制，本屆夏令營的男學生名額為150名，而女學生名額為110名。
學生參加與否屬自願性質，學校宜向有關學生家長介紹夏令營的學習目的及活動內容。
The summer camp is now open for application. Heads of secondary schools are invited to nominate not more than three male students and not more than three female students who are studying at S3, S4 or S5, and aged 15 before 14 July 2013 to participate in the camp. Nominees should have good conduct and physical fitness, be able to communicate in Putonghua and have not participated in the “Military Summer Camp for Hong Kong Youth” before.
In view of resources and facilities constraints, a quota of 150 male students and 110 female students will be set for the camp.
Participation must be on a voluntary basis. Schools should introduce the objectives and the contents of the summer camp to the parents of participating students.

甲部為「概論」，為讀者提供相關議題的背景導讀，資料內容來自香港國際問題研究所舉辦的研討會，以及編輯委員會進行的訪問及資料分析。
乙部則為「個論」，由編輯委員會邀請不同國際關係研究學者撰寫專欄。這些專欄涵蓋不同專業範疇，包括國際地緣政治、國際政治經濟、社會學、新聞學、國際法、文化研究等，以求對該期專題從不同角度進行分析。

The Hong Kong Digital Academy

為了讓本地老師與學生能進一步善用互聯網資源， YouTube 特別展開「香港數碼學堂」，透過與夥伴「有機上網」合作，擕手為本地師生設立教與學專屬的互聯網影音頻道及社交平台專頁。
透過這個頻道，本地教師可上載教學影片，把書本知識以生動有趣的影片形式觸及更多學生；學生亦可登入該網站輕易飽覽多個學科的影片，從而更可激發其創意，鼓勵他們自行探索喜歡科目資料及訓練獨立思考能力。

YouTube, in partnership with WebOrganic, established "The Hong Kong Digital Academy" program to provide teachers and students an dedicated online channel for audio and video resources as well as a social networking platform.
This one-stop education platform for Hong Kong will enable teachers and students to further benefit from online resources. The channel allows local educators to reach out to more students by uploading videos of their lessons. Students, on the other hand, can explore videos of various academic subjects easily, enjoying a more interactive, creative and independent learning experience.

教育局教育電視小組開發了香港首個教育電視流動應用程式， 旨在提供多元化的播放途徑，讓大家能夠隨時隨地觀看教育電視節目。


教育電視於一九七一年開始服務，播映小學三年級的節目，隨後節目每年遞增一級，至一九七四年推廣至小學六年級。
一九七六年，教育電視開始為初中學生服務，播映中學一年級的節目，至一九七八年，節目擴展至中學三年級。
一九九九年，教育電視服務再擴展至小學一、二年級，亦同時就個別課題製作中學四、五年級的節目。
二零零零年，教育電視更增設「教師時段」，播映專為教師而設的專業發展節目及教學資源節目供教師使用。

現時，教育電視的中學和小學課程，均設有英國語文、中國語文、數學和普通話等科目的節目，同時更為中學提供科學科和個人、社會及人文教育(簡稱人文教育，以前稱為社會教育)節目，並為小學提供常識科節目。
每一學年的節目播映為期32週，每週由星期一至星期五定時播出。
各科教育電視節目，均備有網上參考資料。某些節目更備有視像光碟和多媒體互動教材光碟分發各校。

所有官立和資助學校，均獲配給所需的電視和錄影器材，以便接收教育電視節目。

教師、學生及社會人士可透過本網頁了解教育電視組所提供的服務、查詢節目播放時間表、下載節目片段與互動教學軟件，以及表達對教育電視的意見。

Enhanced Smart Teen Project (ESTP) 2013/14

2013/14學年「多元智能躍進計劃」

「多元智能躍進計劃」分為教師發展、學生訓練及營後跟進活動三個部分。
Enhanced Smart Teen Project (ESTP) comprises three parts: teacher development, student training and post-camp follow-up activities.

詳情如下：
Details are as follows:

(a) 教師發展 - 本局會為參與學校的教師提供一系列的專業發展活動，當中包括兩日一夜的「教師訓練營」，以及約十二小時的「教師工作坊」。目的是讓教師掌握帶領及推行本計劃的技巧。
    Teacher development - A series of professional training activities will be arranged for teachers, including an overnight training camp and about 12 hours of training workshops. The aim of the training is to equip teachers with the skills in leading and implementing the Project.

(b) 學生訓練 - 本局會繼續與警務處、消防處、懲教署、香港海關、入境事務處、民眾安全服務隊及香港少年領袖團，為學生提供「多元智能挑戰營」，透過一系列的紀律及體能訓練，加強他們的自律、自信、團隊精神及抗逆能力。
    Student training - EDB will continue to collaborate with the Hong Kong Police Force, the Fire Services Department, the Correctional Services Department, the Customs and Excise Department, the Immigration Department, the Civil Aid Service and the Hong Kong Adventure Corps in organizing Smart Teen Challenge Camps. Through a series of discipline and physical training, students’ self-discipline, self-confidence, team spirit and resilience will be enhanced.

(c) 營後跟進活動 - 當學生完成挑戰營的訓練後，學校須透過舉辦一連串的營後跟進活動，深化學生在「多元智能挑戰營」中的學習經驗，以鞏固及延續學生的正向改變。
    Post-camp follow-up activities - After the students have completed the Smart Teen Challenge Camps, schools should organize a series of post-camp follow-up activities to strengthen the learning experiences the students acquired in the camps, so as to consolidate and sustain the positive changes.

教育局通函第27/2013號 2013/14學年「多元智能躍進計劃」
由2006/07學年開始，教育局與不同的紀律部隊合作，推行「多元智能躍進計劃」，為中二及中三學生提供紀律及團隊訓練，以提升學生的自律、自信心、團隊精神和抗逆力。
為配合新高中學制的推展，自2009/10學年開始，本局已將計劃內的部份名額預留予中四及中五學生。
由於計劃成效顯著且深受學界的支持，教育局已落實將計劃延伸至2017/18學年。
此外，本局亦會繼續為負責此計劃的教師提供一系列的專業培訓。

Education Bureau Circular Memorandum No. 27/2013  Enhanced Smart Teen Project (ESTP) 2013/14
Starting from the 2006/07 school year, the Education Bureau (EDB) has collaborated with various discipline forces to implement the ESTP. Training on discipline and team building has been provided for Secondary 2 and 3 students to enhance their self-discipline, self confidence, team spirit and resilience.
Starting from the 2009/10 school year, some quotas have been reserved for Secondary 4 and 5 students in the light of the implementation of the new academic structure.
As the project has yielded remarkable outcome and has been well received by schools, EDB will extend the project to the 2017/18 school year.
EDB will also continue to provide a series of professional training for the teachers responsible for the Project.

Understanding Adolescent Project (Primary) 2013/14

2013/14學年成長的天空計劃（小學）

有意申請「成長的天空計劃(小學)」津貼的官立及資助小學，必須於2013年5月10日或之前提交經填妥的附件三甲申請表；
至於申請額外津貼的學校，則於2013年7月5日或之前，另行提交額外津貼申請表附件三乙。
「成長的天空計劃(小學)」津貼已計算在直接資助小學的津貼額內，直接資助小學無須另行申請。

為使「香港學生資料表格」更易於運用，本局將於2013年5月透過網上平台發放「香港學生資料表格」以取代目前學校使用的2006年光碟版。
To facilitate the use of the Hong Kong Student Information Form (HKSIF), a web-based HKSIF will be launched in May 2013 to replace the existing HKSIF CD-ROM (2006).

教育局自2004/05學年開始推行「成長的天空計劃(小學)」，該計劃是一套全面的個人成長輔助計劃，目的是提升小學生的抗逆力，以面對成長的挑戰。
從學生評估問卷分析反映，學生參加該計劃後，在情緒控制、解決困難、目標訂定、建立關係等各方面都有進步。
家長及教師均認為學生參與該計劃有助鞏固樂觀的態度、增強對家庭和學校的歸屬感，而且在與人溝通和合作方面均有進步。

本中心的主要參觀對象，是修讀常識科涵蓋水資源課題的小學四年級學生。

The main target audiences of the Centre are the Primary Four (P4) pupils whose General Study curriculum includes water supply issues.
Schools are also welcomed to make arrangements with us for their pupils studying Primary Five (P5) or above to visit the Centre.

水資源教育中心開幕
水務署轄下「水資源教育中心」今日（二零一三年三月四日）正式開幕。
中心成立的目的為加強教育下一代對保護水資源的認識，令他們自小培養節約用水的習慣。

The Water Resources Education Centre of the Water Supplies Department (WSD) was opened today (March 4, 2013).
The centre aims to enhance the knowledge of water conservation among the younger generation and cultivate water-saving habits from childhood.

Government House Open Day (10 March 2013)

香港禮賓府將於二○一三年三月十日（星期日）上午十時至下午五時向公眾開放。
Government House will be open to the public on March 10, 2013 (Sunday) from 10am to 5pm.

我們將會安排香港警察樂隊及學生樂團在花園表演，讓市民一邊遊覽、一邊欣賞音樂。
Visitors will enjoy musical performances by the Hong Kong Police Band and student ensembles while strolling in the garden.

遊覽路線沿途亦會放置二維條碼及展板，介紹禮賓府的歷史、建築特色和珍貴時刻。
參觀人士可利用具攝影及上網功能的流動通訊裝置，配合相關閱讀軟件，瀏覽禮賓府及花卉的資料。
Display boards and two-dimensional barcodes will also be set up to share the history, architecture and important moments of Government House.
Visitors with mobile devices that have photo-taking and Internet functions and related 2D barcode software may browse information about Government House and the flowers.

參觀人士須由上亞厘畢道的東閘進入，遊覽完畢後經正門離開。
