Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP)

教育局今日（二○一三年五月十五日）公布，師訓與師資諮詢委員會（師訓會）將於二○一三年六月一日重新命名為教師及校長專業發展委員會，以更準確地反映其推廣教師及校長專業發展的職能。
The Education Bureau (EDB) today (May 15, 2013) announced that the Advisory Committee on Teacher Education and Qualifications (ACTEQ) will be renamed as the Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP) on June 1, 2013, to better reflect its function of enhancing the professional development of teachers and principals.

教師及校長專業發展委員會是教育局轄下的非法定組織。
委員會將延續師訓會的工作，就教師及校長的專業發展的政策及措施，向政府提供意見。此外，委員會亦可按需要進行相關的教育研究及舉辦專業發展課程等，以促進教師及校長的專業發展。
COTAP is a non-statutory body set up under the purview of the Education Bureau.
Apart from performing ACTEQ's roles and functions in advising the Government on policies and measures relating to the professional development of the teaching profession, COTAP may, where necessary, conduct educational research and professional development programmes for both teachers and principals.
